Valley Oak SPCA’s popular Critter Camp is now accepting registrations for this summer’s week-long sessions—two options for campers entering grades 1st-4th and two for those entering grades 5th-8th (activities and curriculum are different each week). Campers who love animals will enjoy learning about a number of animal species, as well as the role of an animal shelter. Critter Camp is designed to educate and inspire our youth to practice a lifestyle of compassion, respect and responsibility through the humane treatment of animals.

Please join us for an exciting and fun experience you will never forget! Each session runs Monday-Friday from 8AM-12PM at Valley Oak SPCA's Adoption Center located at 9800 Camp Drive. Registration includes all materials, snacks, t-shirt and special guests! Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Enrollment is limited to 20 per week.

Camp Weeks:
Week 1 (Grades 5th-8th): June 11-15
Week 2 (Grades 1st-4th): June 18-22
Week 3 (Grades 5th-8th): July 9-13
Week 4 (Grades 1st-4th): July 16-20

Registration fee is $100 for one week or $175 for two weeks per camper.

For safety, all campers must wear closed toe shoes to camp.

Critter Camp 2018 Online Registration

All sessions are from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, Monday through Friday at Valley Oak SPCA's Adoption Center located at 9800 Camp Drive, Visalia, CA. Campers should arrive no earlier than 7:50 am and be picked up no later than 12:15 pm. Registration includes all materials, snacks, t-shirt and special guests! Waiver of Liability

I acknowledge that though all precautions are taken to ensure participant safety, a wide variety of animals participate in the Critter Camp Program that are not trained by Valley Oak SPCA. I am aware that animals are unpredictable and understand the risk for injuries such as possible bites and scratches when interacting with animals. I also acknowledge that Valley Oak SPCA, strongly recommends keeping current with my child’s tetanus immunization, and to consult my physician about this and other concerns related to working with different species of animals. It is up to the discretion of the Camp Director to remove my child at any time she feels my child has failed to respect the camp rules and the safety of others. In consideration of my child participating in the Critter Camp program of Valley Oak SPCA, I the undersigned agree to assume all risk of loss or injury while my child is participating in the Critter program and herby waive any rights of action I may have or may in the future lodge against Valley Oak SPCA its successors, director, staff, agents or volunteers or any such loss or injury caused by the negligence or default of Valley Oak SPCA its successors, director, staff, agents or volunteers.
