SPONSORING VALLEY OAK SPCA VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS

Valley Oak SPCA plays a vital role in our community by providing shelter for homeless animals, a comprehensive adoption program, community outreach and education, and a low-cost spay/neuter clinic. As a non-profit organization, the SPCA depends primarily on donations from the public in order to provide these programs.

Friends of the Animals (FOTA) is the name of the Valley Oak SPCA volunteer corps. This group is an integral part of the organization and assists the SPCA in many areas. Last year roughly 125 volunteers donated 25,000 hours of their time. Programs such as the Rescue Railroad and off-site adoptions are mainly accomplished by the volunteers. They also provide office help; exercise, socialize and groom shelter animals; serve as adoption and behavior counselors; maintain the SPCA web site, etc. In short, volunteers do whatever is needed to assist the organization in helping homeless animals in our community.

A separate sub-account has been established for Friends of the Animals in order for them to fund certain projects and items associated with their operation.

We need your help. The Friends of the Animals has opportunities tailored to fit your capabilities. Every individual or group in this community has something to offer. YOU can be part of the solution by supporting Friends of the Animals and pledging either money, services, products or volunteer hours. All members will receive a sponsorship certificate and a great warm, fuzzy feeling.

Sponsorship levels are listed below. You may never have thought about donating items such as collars and leashes, or kennels. How about printing services or gas cards? Perhaps your employees would like to donate an afternoon of their time painting murals on the shelter fence. See--everyone has something worth contributing!!

All donations to Friends of the Animals go directly into a account to benefit volunteer programs.
