Valley Oak SPCA is a non-profit agency that is extremely dependent upon donations from the community and Corporate Sponsors. Cash donations are the most helpful, but there are many other ways of helping us. You will find a variety of ways of assisting us in your daily lives just by remembering VOSPCA. All web site links found on our web site contribute a percentage right back to us just for linking to them from us or by telling them you would like VOSPCA to be the charity of choice. We also have a list of items that we need in an on-going basis. Thank You in advance for your support.

Programs That Help Educate the Community

• Kind News Adopt-a-Classroom Program - The award-winning, fun-filled KIND News (Kids In Nature’s Defense) children’s newspaper is a publication of the Humane Society of the United States. It features articles, projects & activities designed to teach children about responsible pet care & animal protection.
  
  For a donation of just $30, the Adopt-a-Classroom program provides a one-year (September - May) gift subscription to KIND News. Each issue comes with a Teacher’s Guide and 32 copies of the newspaper for students to read and take home. There are lots of extras, too, like KIND student ID cards and on-line resources. KIND News comes in three editions: Primary (K-2), Junior (3-4) & Senior (5-6). If you would like to be a KIND News Adopt-a-Classroom Sponsor, please fill out and return our form (in Adobe Acrobat or Microsoft Word format).

Programs That Benefit VOSPCA:

• Attention Albertson's Shoppers! - You can help Valley Oak SPCA every time you shop at Albertson's for groceries! Just have the clerk scan in your free Community Partners Card and VOSPCA will automatically receive credit. Depending on the total amount purchased collectively, Albertson's will donate 2 - 5% of the total purchases each quarter! You can start shopping for the animals now! To get your card, call Kelly Austin at 651-1111, ext. 110.
• Friends of the Animals - A program specifically designed to provide support to the huge corps of volunteers who support the work of Valley Oak SPCA with the their time, talents, and often, their pocketbooks.
•  Valley Oak SPCA Memorial Program - Memorialize a beloved family member or friend through our Memorial program. What better way to honor the memory of those we love most? (pdf format)
•  Valley Oak SPCA Kennel & Cage Sponsorship Program - Individuals, families or businesses can sponsor kennels and cages on an annual basis. (pdf format)
• Donate Items Needed at the Shelter - The shelter can always use the following items: Bleech, towels and blankets, laundry detergent, cat litter, paper towels and puppy/kitten food.

These checks feature full-color photographs (one each of a dog and cat) and state: "Adopt from your local animal shelter" and "Spay or Neuter Your Pet." They also feature the Valley Oak SPCA logo and our message, "Working for a more humane community. Our dogs love to sleep on Kuranda Dog beds, but we don't have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price for a another dog to sleep in comfort, please donate a Kuranda dog bed.
