National Homeless Animals Day August 15 is National Homeless Animals Day. Valley Oak SPCA dedicates our green flags to the thousands of stray, lost and abandoned animals and share our hopes for a better future. We invite you to help us fill the bags and set up the memorial. For a donation of $5 per bag, you can dedicate a bag(s) in honor or memory of your pet(s). 6th annual Wine & Wags Gala and Auction Valley Oak SPCA is excited to host our 6th annual Wine & Wags Gala and Auction Saturday, September 26 - a spectacular evening of wine, beer and food tasting, live and silent auction. Funds raised from this event support our efforts for the new Adoption and Education Center. We are seeking event sponsors, vendors and donations of auction items. Low cost pet vaccination & microchip clinic Pet vaccination & microchip clinic Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. No appointment required for vaccinations or microchips, all pets must be in carriers or on leashes. All puppies and kittens need a series of vaccinations starting at 6 weeks of age for puppies and 9 weeks of age for kittens. All dogs and cats 3 months of age and older must be vaccinated for rabies. Yappy Hour Join us Tuesday, August 11 for Yappy Hour at The Planing Mill Artisan Pizzeria (514 E. Main Street, Suite A) the second Tuesday of each month from 5:00 pm-9:00 pm. Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome on the patio. The Planing Mill donates 25% of proceeds from Yappy Hour to Valley Oak SPCA.
